teaching is never an option among my many dreams and aspirations because I’m someone who can learn but can’t teach. I’m not able to explain theories or ideas in a way that’s comprehensive enough. Yes, very selfish personality since I can’t pass on to others what I’ve learnt. but ever since taking relief teaching, i realise that teaching is so much more than passing on knowledge to the little ones. as i see it, it’s definitely not easy, especially for primary school and secondary school kids. Different set of problem for different age group, and being at such impressionable age, it’s not just about teaching them the tricks to solve certain math problems.
have been teaching the p3, p4, p5 kids during relief…been doing nothing much other than handling the “teacher, teacher” requests. ah..that’s the another difference between relief and full time teacher. You don’t just solve the “teacher, teacher” problems as it is, but you need to get to the root of the problem and solve it. so i conclude – i’m not cut out to be one, and KUDOS to all teachers!
met up with fellow D*U*O peeps at M*F*A and yeah, maybe will meet somewhere along the way if we happen to be in the region during OKTOBERFEST! viele viele viele deutsche bier und bratwurst! =D
about another week to laos…and after the precamp, don’t know to look forward or not to look forward. just neutral~ hopefully it’ll be a smashing good time and entice me to return to the region for backpack next summer break! =)
One of the songs i heard during my first time at a pub with live band..still sounding great now, especially when it’s dark outside.
