One day, I will embark on my polaroid project – 1 year, 365 days, 365 Polaroid shots, 365 moments in life.

I wanted to do it before I went on my exchange, but I couldn’t afford it. One day, I told meself.

back for a little more than a week now. fortunate enough to have this little break to take time to adjust myself back to everything here. sorting out my physical baggages and mental baggages, i thought it’s probably about the right time to put some things into perspective.

this experience didn’t come easy. it wasn’t cheap either. it was a hell lot of memories made and remembered, great friendships across borders established and a lot more. i’m like a little tortoise living at the bottom of the well, looking at the same sky and trying to imagine an imaginary world outside. Then someone came along and gave me a ride on the paper aeroplane. I saw what’s outside and never felt the same again.

i don’t know how to put it to words, but simply put, I think I’ve grown up quite a bit. Not physically even though I did gain some winter-fat haha. I guess mentally, there’s quite a bit of changes going on up there. I was a little confused about directions. It’s a lot clearer now. I know what I want, I want what I want. The little knocks and bumps along the way helped.

procrastination is looking at others having a snow fight outside my window.

procrastination is tidying up my desk and messing it up again when I couldn’t find my keys.

procrastination is deciding that i will start studying when the sun sets at 3.

procrastination is deciding to do my laundry when i just done one 2 days ago.

procrastination is charging my phone when there are still 2 bars left.

procrastination is counting the number of times i blink per minute.

procrastination is … easier than studying swedish.

Checking out the update on each others’ lives simultaneously happening at the same time, I thought:

Isn’t it wonderful? That we are all learning and growing at different places, at different phases of our lives, through different activities, that we all hope to become better people through all the experiences that we gain, through all the footprints that we leave behind.

We’re always busy, but because we’re busy, something is happening. That we’re changing. That nothing stays the same.

And it feels so much easier after pouring all the pent-up unhappiness to my home, my refuge that I sometimes run to. Too much unhappiness is cancerous. Happiness is my dope.

juggling between studies that he’s obliged to pass, the travels he’s expected to do, the parties he’s supposed to attend, and yet remember to do his laundry on a regular basis so that he doesn’t run out of shirts to wear.

travel planning, such an exciting prospect that everyone looks forward to, but yet such a pain in the ass while doing it. you’ll probably never believe this, but planning the travel routes – the connecting trains, google mapping, couchsurfing are no less frustrating than planning our timetable on the great STARS PLANNER. the difference is that travel planning is planning for something possibly fun and exciting but planning the timetable is planning for most probable misery.

just came back from Germany last week. barely kissed Frankfurt twice and spent approximately 2 days in Munich. with Hansil, Sung-yun and Shaun as traveling mates. very good company! hope to have more chance to travel together again~

didn’t have too much time in Frankfurt cuz our coach reach Frankfurt city center at almost midnight. the only adventure is when we went hunting for supper in the early morning and to realise that our hostel is located in the middle of Frankfurt’s redlight district! (and we go hahahaha at all the erotic posters plastered all over the walls). And we had supper @ McDonald’s cuz it’s the only food-let that’s open at those ghostly hours. Oh, interesting fact 1: Frankfurt’s McDonald has got 0% alcoholic beer on their menu and their big mac ain’t exactly erm..big.

And we took the DB bahn to Munich. Fantastic city. Checked in to a fantastic hotel (cuz of Oktoberfest, all hostels are fully booked) amazingly furnished and fantastically priced. It’s a 4 star hotel and cost us 180 euros per night per room. Probably the most expensive hotel that i’ll ever stay in my life, seriously.

In munich, we visited Frauenkirche, Peterskirche, Alte Rathaus, BMW Welt, BMW Museum and i forgot where. didn’t have time to rail to Fussen to visit the world famous Neuschwainstein castle (where Disney based their fairytales on, think Cinderella?). But the decision was mighty right. Because at Oktoberfest, i concluded that every single cent was worth it! Yes, even the hotel stay make perfect sense too. Words, pictures, videos can’t describe the amazing festival accurately. I’d say, i gotta agree now when someone said, “you haven’t seen the world when you haven’t been to the best folk festival in the world – Oktoberfest”. Oktoberfest – Das Fest!
