Really didn’t expected to watch this but it turned out to be a unexpectedly good one! Only disappointment is…there ain’t no coconut trees :D

Suddenly I’m reminded of this song. That was an epic.

1 day after the bike rally, I’m now red as a cooked prawn. i even got a new tattoo – the outline of the event singlet. pain as hell too! still, it’s worth the sunday! The weather was crazily hot. It was my second bike rally, and for the same reason that captivated me during the first bike rally, I went home satisfied.

The greatest reward was riding through areas that I don’t normally go to, like I’m a tourist in my own country. It felt strangely refreshing and rewarding. And of course, riding with friends, motivating each other to finish the race, is the bonus. The longer the distance, the lonelier one gets. 128km wouldn’t be possible without riding companions!

The best part of the bike rally is that it isn’t exactly a race. It’s not about rushing from the start point to the end point (although granted the hot weather, it’s an incentive). It’s a journey. The fastest don’t win the journey. When one is too focused in trying to win, he loses out on the mortal things along the way. The winner(s) is the one that leaves the most significant footprints along the way and packed enough scenes in his backpack at the end of the journey. A lot like life, it seems.

American composer, John Cage, composed a rather unconventional piece of music titled 4′33″. During the four minutes and thirty-three seconds, not a single note is played. It wasn’t silence that was played. Instead, you listen to the sounds of the environment, something most people usually neglect.

Everyone’s talking about final year projects, job-hunting, graduation trip. It almost seems like the next few months is already panned out in front of me, even if i wasn’t extremely concerned about it initially. The number of times I’m asked about it ensured that I had given them enough thoughts. Too much maybe.

We’re obsessed about moving, even though we know that taking a moment out of moving will do us every good. When we are on step 24, we are already thinking about step 30 and step 35.

The next step will be important. It’s like arriving like a giant interchange with many buses to take. What’s my next bus? I should be catching my next bus soon if I do not want to be late for my next appointment. But perhaps, I should take my 4′33″ break first. Being a little late is fine, as long as I know my directions :)

it’s like an awfully long checklist. each item that’s checked, adds to the ‘fun score’. once it’s above a certain score, fun is made. yesterday was fun!

So the chances is about 3/4000. this is not so cool
