I am happy today.
I found out, that being not happy about somebody or something isn’t going to make me happy. So, don’t be not happy about anybody.
No classes today, so I went on a little adventure of my own. I like to go places alone because there’s no need to rush, no need to worry about leading the entire group to the wrong direction, and basically just go with my feelings. One word: 爽！Armed with my bike, my map and my camera, I tried to cycle trails that I’ve never taken before. From where I live, I usually go south to get to school and go east if I want to get something from downtown. So today, I decided to try north.
Rule of the day: Never ask anyone for directions.
Destination: Tornby.
Through the forested area, some schools, and even the backyard of a private estate (some swede oba-san gave me strange stares – like what the hell are you cycling into this area?), I found my way to Tornby. Ah, now I can cycle to IKEA, WILLYS etc. =D It wasn’t as difficult as it seemed!
I’m here for about a month now. Been going to supermarket to shop for grocery – i found out that I’m quite auntiefied now. Since everything is expensive, plus I still can’t read a lot of the food labels (which are all in swedish), plus I’m living on a shoestring, so I normally go for the one that has the most quantity or the heaviest or the most value-for-money. End-result: I’m always lugging back groceries that weigh a ton each time I come out of the supermarket. haha =D
